107 Spread the Love Ambassadors


Who are the 107 Ambassadors? The 107 Ambassadors are people who have close relationships to the game of soccer in our community, have deep ties to our city and region, and/or have made lasting contributions to the club. The announcement of ambassadors will happen throughout the season. The first group is listed below. 

Dwight Adkins. Die hard Timbers season ticket holder, and very connected to the Timbers ‘Stand Together’ community platform. Voted one of the top-40 most connected people in Portland. Recipients: Rey Figueroa and friends.

John Bain. Portland Timbers community ambassador, former Timbers player and Ring of Honor inductee. His Timbers career was highlighted by his five seasons with the NASL Timbers, where he set the club record for goals and assists. Recipient: Carrie Jizmagian

Roberto Barraza. Huge soccer fan and member of the “Red Timbers” advisory group, organized through the Somos Timbers outreach platform. Active community leader and volunteer. Recipient: Edemir Ruiz Robles

Tim Birr. Current Timbers season ticket holder, Axe Society member, and a fixture in the North End since 2001. A member of a local pipe and drum band that has performed at many Timbers matches over the years. Recipients: The Bussanich family.

Jonathan Blasher. Timbers season ticket holder and Executive Director of Playworks Portland, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of children by increasing opportunities for physical activity and safe, meaningful playRecipient: Jayden Preston and Family.

Casie Bowers. Assistant VP, Region Manager for Safeco. Timbers suite holder and supporter. Hopes to travel to England to watch a live EPL game soon. Loves denying her Seattle co-workers the chance to use the Safeco suite for Cascadia Cup matches. Recipient: Isaac Gatchet and family


Adin Brown. Current Timbers broadcaster and former player. Played in MLS and internationally in Norway. Also a Stand Together alumni ambassador. Receipients: Kristin Trainor and friends.

Patrick Brown. Current Coordinating Producer/Director at ROOT SPORTS. A native of Vancouver USA, he has been involved with televising the Timbers since 2008 and has been the director for local broadcasts since the team has been part of MLS. Recipient: Alain and Marlynn Schotland family

Christina Calderon. Founder of Hispanic Pros, a local networking group. Emcee of “Tiempo Extra” and Spanish language PA announcer for Timbers matches. Recipient: Denisse Cruz

Chris Coleman. Artistic Director at Portland Center Stage since 2000. Vividly remembers chance to play soccer at halftime on the field of the pro team in Atlanta when he was 8. A Timbers junkie and thrilled to have the team in Portland. Recipient: Ahmed Abidine

Carrie Cool. President of West Hills Junior Soccer Club. Runs Beaverton TOPSoccer – an outreach soccer program for children with disabilities. Also works for 25 fields for Oregon, a registered non-profit, to build a youth field sports park. Recipients: Kaitlyn Winter

Althea Cullen. Current Timbers season ticket holder and former Waiting List member. Has two TA seats with her husband Dougal. Recipients: The Vezinet family – Cédric, Madison, Christophe & Manon.

Ben Dudley. Executive Director of AC Portland, which helps empower students to lead healthy lives, succeed academically, and inspire positive community engagement. Also serves as the volunteer chaplain for the Timbers and is a proud Axe Society and Timbers Army season ticket holder. Recipient: Mauricio Nieves Ruiz

Alonda Eisenbach. General Manager of Parklane mattresses in Tualatin, both a Timbers and Thorns FC partner. Also a season ticket holder and big supporter of both clubs. Recipient: Omar Medina


Jeff Enquist. President of PYSA and head coach of Portland City United. He’s coached at all levels, from high school to the pros. Recipients: George Ouma (Sonko)

Meyer Freeman. COO of the Oregon Sports Authority. Started following soccer during the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup that was hosted in the U.S, including a group stage round at Civic Stadium (now JELD-WEN Field) in Portland. Recipient: Kathi Blodgett


Cecilia Girón. Director of Adelante Chicas. An activist and advocate in the community for 18 years. Throughout her professional career, Girón has maintained a commitment to the Latino community, and is honored by the opportunity to work with Adelante Chicas. Recipient: Salgado/Dias Family

Pat Givens. Born and raised in SE Portland. Played soccer in the greater Portland soccer district for 20-25 years starting in the early ‘80s. Been a Timbers season ticket holder since 1977. Also had tickets to the Portland indoor teams. Recipient: Darlene Brown

Nico J Gonzales. I've worked for the Portland Timbers for 3 seasons in the Guest Services Department.  I love working for the Timbers the atmoshphere is fantastic the day of the match.  I have a lovely wife of 1 year and we are expecting our first child any day now.  Recipient: Seyum and Jeanne

James Harrison. Aka “Hermes,” James used to be a capo in the Timbers Army. Remains a Timbers season ticket holder and great friend and supporter of the club. Recipient: Robert Parker


Rachel Harrison. Community voice, STH (both PTFCs), Axe Society & TA member, passionate supporter. Recipients: Jessica Davis and family

Jeff Harvey. President and CEO of Burgerville, a Timbers founding partner. Oregon State University alum and strong Timbers supporter. Recipient: Carol Matney

Mick Hoban. Current Timbers ‘Stand Together’ ambassador and former Timbers midfielder. The England native began his professional career with Aston Villa of the EPL and also played for the NASL Timbers from 1975-1978. Was the first player signed by the then expansion Portland Timbers.

Lamon Hope. Guest Services attendant, who has worked at JELD-WEN Field for the past seven seasons. Originally started working in the Fun Zone at what was then PGE Park during Beavers games. Recipient: Ashley Bevell

Donald Howard. Has worked at JELD-WEN Field as a Guest Services attendant for the past three years. You can find him, and his non-stop smile, in front of sections 111-112. Recipients: Chris and Rosanne Tyson

Erin Hubert. CEO of Boys and Girls Clubs of Portland. Started following the Timbers in high school when they first debuted in Portland. A huge Timbers fan, and love the energy and fun that the team has brought to Portland. Recipient: Jessica Turner


Bill Hueffner. JELD-WEN’s Dir. Of Development & Prof. Relations; an active community volunteer and ardent Timbers fan. Recipients: Lance Rohs

David Hughes. President of the Vancouver/Washington Timbers Soccer Club. Long time Timbers season ticket holder and big supporter of soccer in the region. Recipients: The Gayton Family

Shon Kim. Born and raised in Gresham and now the President of Fix Auto in Gresham. Been a fan since the ‘70s when the Timbers were part of the NASL. Actively involved in coaching youth soccer and a current board member of the Eastside Timbers. Recipients: The Martinez Family

Willie Kleen. Has worked at JELD-WEN Field as a guest attendant for the past nine years, most recently at the suite pass gate. A little known fact – Willie sings competitively in a Barber Shop quartet. Recipient: Jeff Moore

Cameron Knowles. Former Timbers defender and current assistant coach. An Auckland, New Zealand native, Knowles played professionally for seven seasons, including four with Portland from 2007-10. Recipient: Matthew Haageson

Shawn Levy. Season ticket holder, capo, writer, editor and author. Has written for the Oregonian since 1992 and served as its Film Critic since 1997. Been a Timbers supporter for the past two decades. Recipient: Max Toulaud

Tim Loy. Head Coach and co-President of Hillside Soccer Club, lifelong local soccer player and Timbers fan since the NASL era. Owner and President of Mallory Safety and Supply.

Olivia MacKenzie. Corporate Partnership and Events Officer for Virginia Garcia Memorial Foundation. In addition to enjoying the matches, Olivia has worked closely with Somos Timbers to connect the families of the Virginia Garcia clinics with the Portland Timbers. Recipient: Carmen Campuzano

Drew Mahalic. CEO of the Oregon Sports Authority. Been a huge Timbers fan since day one; finds the sports culture created by team, town and Timbers fans to be one of the most fascinating developments in Oregon sports history. Recipient: Matt Braddock

Jim Mark. CEO of Melvin Mark Companies. Has watched the Timbers since he was in high School (NASL Timbers). Loved going to games with his buddies and being a part of 30,000 screaming fans jammed into then, Civic Stadium. Head-coached three of his four children in soccer over 12 years. Recipient: Reed Goldsmith

Dale Montgomery. Board member at large for PYSA and a board member/coach for Portland High School Co-ed Rec and Mt. Tabor Soccer Club. Current Timbers and Thorns FC season ticket holder. Plays on a TA supported over 40 soccer team and helped save a life of a player in cardiac arrest last fall. Recipients: Koffi "Junior" Dessou and family

Igor Mortis. Huge Timbers supporter; works at TigerLily Tattoo. Inked a growing number of Timbers faithful; you’re sure to see his artwork on display each home match. Recipient: Bryan Everett and Family.

Zeyaad Moussa. JELD-WEN Field Guest Services staff member for the past two years. Works the TA at sections 107/108. Graduated from Iowa State University, and is currently studying for his masters at PSU.

Andy Nelson. CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest and Chair of the Portland Parks Board. Pioneering member of his hometown's first soccer league, circa 1977. Recipient: Grant Jensen.

Elizabeth Nye. Executive Director of Girls Inc. of NW Oregon. A huge Timbers, and now Thorns FC fan. Has also been the Assistant Coach of her daughter’s soccer team for the past five years.

Gerardo Ochoa. Contributing author of Path to Scholarships and college administrator. Big sports fan, Timbers supporter and youth advocate. Recipient: Jose Antonio Saavedra and family.


Mark Olen. Timbers and Thorns FC season ticket holder, member of the Lake Oswego Soccer Club and head coach of the Lake Oswego high school boys team. Recipients: Bill and Diane Savage, and friends

Cindy Parlow Cone. Head coach of the Portland Thorns FC. Former member of the U.S. Women’s National Team. Ranks as one of the national team’s all-time leading scorers with 75 goals and 35 assists. Recipient: Cori Williams

Ruma Perez. Founder of Santos FC, a local non-profit soccer program. Played collegiate soccer at the University of Washington and now coaches youth soccer throughout the Portland metro area.

Peter Pickett. Currently a Timbers Alliance coach with Washington Timbers and Olympic Development Staff coach for the Timbers and Thorns youth program.  Lives in Vancouver WA, with his wife Amanda and two daughters, Lyla and Eva.  Recipient: Allison Peterson

Justus Post. Attended his first MLS match back in 1996 in Kansas City. His favorite player during MLS’ early days was Carlos Valderrama. Served in the U.S. Navy and has lived in Portland for about seven years. Current Timbers and Thorns FC season ticket holder. Recipient: Christian Hammer

“Timber Jim” Serrill. Jim retired as Timbers mascot in 2008, though he can still be found cheering in the North End and spreading the Timbers love. Recipients: Karina Miziolek and family


Sue Simpson. A fixture at JELD-WEN Field for the past 12 years, “Suite Sue” is the Sunset Porsche Audi Suites concierge. Recipients: Neal Harrington


Jason Staley. Teacher, coach, all-star dad, season ticket holder. Head coach of the Ridgefield high school boys soccer team, who, as of (5/21/13), were prepping to play in the state semi-finals. Recipients: Roger Sauve & family

Kemp Shuey. Wish Director for Make-A-Wish Oregon. A long-time supporter and original season ticket holder for both the Timbers and Thorns FC. Far removed from high school playing days; now coaches his 6 year-old son on proper goal scoring celebration techniques. Recipient: Ken Cabellon

Jake Simonis. Timbers season ticket holder and Axe Society member. Also Thorns FC season ticket holder. Has 12 seats between the two clubs. Devoted fan whose family is very involved in youth soccer. Recipient: The Sanchez Family.

Keith Thomajan. President & CEO at the United Way of the Columbia-Willamette. Community advocate whose two sons are big soccer and Timbers fans. Recipient: Blessing Bee Makwara


Scot Thompson. Current Stand Together alumni ambassador and former Timbers defender. Played with the USL Timbers from 2004-2010. Recipients: Pepe Rivera and his wife Maria and son Cielo. Foreign exchange student Camiel Buursma.

Sara Treadway. Timbers Army and Thorns FC season ticket holder. Helps coordinate TA wristband distribution on game days, and is a regular bus captain on trips to Seattle away matches. Recipient: Elvis K.

Martin Tull. Executive Director of the Green Sports Alliance whose aim is to help sports entities enhance their environmental performance. Huge Timbers fan and community advocate.

Karen Willoughby. Director of Youth Programming for Rose City Futsal and volunteers as the Director of Coaching for the Hollywood Soccer Club and helps coach her daughter's NEU Girls Team.  Has hosted several international exchange programs with the Portland Soccer Community, involving the Thorns and Timbers as role models. Avid supporter of both the Thorns and Timbers- hosting Portland's first Thorns camp for a capacity level crowd of eager young girls. Recipients: Víctor Barreda Pazos family


Leilani Wilson. Has worked at JELD-WEN Field for the past 10 seasons. She’s currently the Providence Sports Care Center game-day concierge. Recipients: The Bufton family

Aaron Woo. Timbers and Thorns FC season ticket holder. Loves the game – currently plays on a TA adult team and his two sons play club soccer. Chef and owner of Natural Selection, and owner of Vita Café, both of Alberta St. Recipient: Stephanie Schaefer
