Timbers announce additional MLS 2011 ticket details
The Timbers, who were awarded the MLS’ 18th team Friday, are offering fans a number of options to secure season tickets for the team’s inaugural MLS season in 2011. Fans are encouraged to secure their 2011 MLS season tickets as soon as possible, as this round of deposits concludes following the Timbers’ home opener at PGE Park on April 30.
The priority system is as follows:
- Individuals who purchase 2009 and 2010 Timbers full-season tickets will have top priority for 2011 MLS season seat selection.
- Individuals who purchase 2009 and 2010 Timbers half-season and flex-plan ticket packages will receive second priority for 2011 MLS season seat selection.
- Those not purchasing 2009 and 2010 Timbers ticket packages described above can place a $50 deposit per seat for tertiary priority status, behind Timbers full-season, half-season and flex-plan holders.
“We have had a tremendous response since the MLS announcement was made on Friday, and it’s clear that Major League Soccer will be well-received in Portland,” said Merritt Paulson, owner and president of the Timbers.
Leading into the inaugural 2011 MLS campaign, the Timbers will continue fielding a team in the USL First Division in 2009 and 2010. For information on Timbers ticket plans available for the 2009 season, visit www.portlandtimbers.com.
