PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers and SolarWorld, one of the largest solar energy companies in the world, announced today a new multi-year partnership that will feature SolarWorld as the official jersey sponsor for the Timbers U-23s, the organization’s new development team.

The Timbers U-23s will debut their new uniforms, featuring the SolarWorld name and logo on the front of the jersey, Saturday when they kick off their inaugural season in the Premier Development League.

“We are pleased to announce our partnership with SolarWorld and their direct support of the Timbers’ development team, the Timbers U-23s,” said Ryan Brach, Timbers senior vice president of business development. “SolarWorld is a trend-setting company in the energy industry and has demonstrated a strong commitment to the greater-Portland community.”
