Portland takes on D.C. United at Providence Park on Saturday at the beginning of a three-game homestand (7:30pm PT, ROOT SPORTS). United sits tied for second place in the Eastern Conference table, with 11 points from seven games played. The Timbers remain confident in their chances at home Saturday--witness the fifth quick strike below. Here are five stats to know before Saturday night's match.

One This will be the only time the Portland Timbers and D.C. United meet during the regular season. With the way the schedules work out in both conferences, D.C. United and Portland only have one regular-season meeting on their schedule, and it is on Saturday at Providence Park. Of course, that's not to say they can't meet in the playoffs or the U.S. Open Cup.

0.86 Portland Timbers goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts is tied for second in MLS for goals-against average with a mark of 0.86. Ricketts has allowed just five goals in 521 minutes of play this season, and is fourth in MLS in saves percentage at 73.9 percent.

3 It's been nearly three years since D.C. United last beat the Portland Timbers. D.C. United last beat Portland on May 29, 2011, which was the first-ever meeting between the two teams. Three is also the amount of goals scored by Timbers forward Gastón Fernández, the most out of any one player on the Portland roster. All three of Fernández's goals have been game-tying goals.

1-1-2 The Timbers' MLS record against D.C. United. Portland has only played D.C. United four times over the course of their history in MLS, the fewest amount of matchups between a current MLS team and Portland save for Montreal (2).

420 Portland hasn't lost a game at Providence Park since March 9, 2013, a span of 420 days come Saturday. They have an unbeaten home streak of 19 games heading into the match with D.C. United.
