After a season-and-a-half with the Houston Dynamo, Palm­er joined the Timbers, along with Mike Chabala, midway through their inaugural season from Houston in exchange for midfielder Adam Moffat and allocation money on July 21. The eight-year professional was signed by Houston on March 19, 2010, after seven seasons with Harbour View FC of the Jamaican National Premier League.

2012: Started and played the full 90 at right back against Seattle Sounders FC on Oct. 7 ... Missed two games due to a right knee injury sustained Sept. 19 ...
