Urruti played his first three professional seasons with top-flight Argentine club Newell’s Old Boys from 2010-13, after coming up through the club’s youth system. He made 56 appearances and scored 12 goals with Newell’s Old Boys in Argentina’s Primera División, and also made six appearances for the club in Copa Libertadores play. Urruti arrived in MLS on Aug. 16, 2013, joining Toronto FC.

Acquired: Via trade Sept. 9, 2013, from Toronto FC along with an international slot through the 2013 MLS season in exchange for forward Bright Dike, Portland’s lowest first-round pick in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft and allocation.

2014:  Registered 10 goals and two assists in 30 appearances (12 starts) during the 2014 season ... Scored his 10th goal of the season in a 2-0 win over FC Dallas on Oct. 25, becoming the second Timbers player to log 10 or more goals in 2014 ... Scored three goals and provided one assist in four appearances, all starts, in CONCACAF Champions League play ... Registerd a brace in a 4-2 home win over C.D. Olimpia in CONCACAF Champions League play on Sept. 16 ... Tallied two assists in two appearances, both starts, in the U.S. Open Cup ... Recorded two assists in a 3-0 win over Orlando City U23s in the U.S. Open Cup on June 17 ... Tallied his first MLS assist on June 11 against FC Dallas ... His bending goal in the 57th minute was nominted for MLS Goal of the Week for Week 5.

2013: Played in two games during the club's run in the 2013 MLS Cup Playoffs, logging 84 minutes in a pair of substitute appearances ... Started four straight matches Sept. 20-Oct. 13 ... In his second start, scored his first MLS goal - the game-winner - in a 1-0 win over the LA Galaxy at JELD-WEN Field ... His goal was a nominee for MLS Goal of the Week for Week 31 and he also was nominated for FutbolMLS.com's Latino de la Jornada for Week 31 ... Started his first match with the Timbers on Sept. 20, contributing to a 1-0 win over the Colorado Rapids at JELD-WEN Field ... 2012-13: Played in 28 matches for Newell’s Old Boys in Argentina’s Primera División, scoring five goals … Played in 10 straight matches Sept. 16-Nov. 24, 2012, helping the club to a second-place finish in the Torneo Inicial campaign … Helped the club to a first-place finish in the Torneo Final with a 12-5-2 record and win the championship … Appeared in 15 games (6 starts) during the Torneo Final, scoring in three straight league appearances May 26-June 16, aiding in victories over Boca Juniors, Unión and Atlético Rafaela … Made six appearances during the 2013 Copa Libertadores as Newell’s Old Boys reached the semifinal.

2011-12: Made a career-high 24 starts in his 26 appearances during his second professional season with Newell’s Old Boys, recording a career-best seven goals … Tallied his first professional goal Oct. 29, 2011, in the 49th minute of a 2-2 draw against Olimpo de Bahía Blanca … Played in 17 games and scored six goals during the Clausura campaign, helping Newell’s Old Boys to a sixth-place finish in the Primera División table … Notched goals in back-to-back games Feb. 11-18, 2012, tallying the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Argentinos Juniors on Feb. 18 … Scored in consecutive games April 1-8, 2012, including an 89th-minute equalizer in a 1-1 draw April 8 against Godoy Cruz de Mendoza.
