A veteran of six MLS seasons, Johnson joins the Timbers from Toronto FC, where he was one of the team’s leading scorers in 2012. He was drafted by Real Salt Lake in the 2006 MLS SuperDraft following a standout collegiate career at Oregon State University. A Jamaican international, Johnson has been a key member of the Reggae Boyz since 2010, scoring eight goals in 23 international matches.
ACQUIRED: Acquired by the Timbers on Dec. 12, 2012, along with goalkeeper Milos Kocic, in a trade with Toronto FC in exchange for a first-round pick in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft, goalkeeper Joe Bendik and allocation money.
2013: Played in 29 games (21 starts) during the regular season and finished tied for second on the club in goal-scoring with nine goals ... Recorded four assists during the regular season ... Registered the first two-goal performance of his MLS career on April 6 in a 2-0 win over Houston at JELD-WEN Field ...
