Miller returns to MLS after four seasons in Sweden’s top leagues, including three with Halmstads BK, where he helped the club regain promotion into the country’s top flight in 2012. Originally drafted by the Columbus Crew in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft, Miller played two seasons in MLS before taking his career abroad, signing with Swedish side Ljungskile SK in 2009. In total, he played 87 matches during his four seasons in Sweden with Ljungskile SK (2009) and Halmstads BK (2010-12), and his play earned him a call into camp with the U.S. National Team in January 2011.

2013: Appeared in seven matches during the regular season, making four starts ... Underwent successful surgery for a stress fracture of his left tibia Sept. 11, and missed the remainder of the 2013 season ... Played 72 minutes in his MLS debut on March 3 against New York ... Featured in back-to-back shutouts June 19 in a scoreless draw on the road at LA Galaxy and June 23 at home against Colorado Rapids ... Started all four matches during the 2013 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, helping the club reach the semifinals - its deepest run in the U.S. Open Cup in club history ... Played the full 90 in each of the club's first three U.S. Open Cup fixtures ... Aided in a shutout against the Tampa Bay Rowdies (NASL) in the fourth round on June 12 at JELD-WEN Field ... Played the full 90 in a 1-0 shut-out victory against the EPL's Norwich City FC in a friendly July 24 at JELD-WEN Field ... Featured in a friendly against Mexcian side Monarcas Morelia, helping the club to a 1-0 win to claim the inaugural Copa Verde ... Started nine matches for the Timbers Reserves in the MLS Reserve League, logging 780 minutes.

2012: Started all 30 league games for Halmstads BK in the Superettan (second division), and helped the club regain promotion to Sweden’s top flight, the Allsvenskan … Halmstads BK finished third in the Superettan table and defeated GIF Sundsvall in the promotional playoff in order to secure its return to the first division … Was tied for the team lead and third in the league with a career-high eight assists, four of which came in a two-game span … Assisted on the first and fourth goals of a 5-2 victory against IFK Värnamo on June 16 … Notched two more assists in the next match five days later, aiding in a 3-1 win over Assyriska FF on June 21 … Started both legs of the promotional playoff against GIF Sundsvall, which Halmstads BK won 6-4 on aggregate … Recorded an assist in Leg 1, setting up a 62nd-minute goal in a 3-0 victory on Nov. 10 … Made an appearance in a 5-2 win against Ronneby BK in a Svenska Cupen match, playing 13 minutes as a sub.

2011: Made 17 appearances (12 starts) during his second season with Halmstads BK in the Allsvenskan … Aided in consecutive shutouts against Syrianska FC on June 11 and Örebro SK on June 18; both matches ended in scoreless draws … Played in two Svenska Cupen matches, logging 37 minutes as a substitute in a 4-1 victory again Karlstad BK on May 18 and starting in a 3-0 loss to Malmö FF in the Round of 16 on May 29 … Halmstads BK finished 16th in the Allsvenskan with a 3-22-5 record and was relegated to the Superettan (second division).

2010: Signed with top-flight club Halmstads BK and became a regular starter for the side, playing in 26 league matches in Sweden’s Allsvenskan (first division) … Contributed to nine shutouts over the course of the season … Started and played 90 minutes of a 1-0 loss to Ängelholms FF in a Svenska Cupen fixture May 18, 2010.

2009: Started the season with D.C. United, but joined Swedish club Ljungskile SK in July … Made his Ljungskile SK debut July 26, 2009, starting and contributing an assist in a 3-2 win over Qviding FIF … Started 12 league games in Sweden’s Superettan and recorded two assists … Assisted on the opening goal of a 3-0 win over Falkenbergs FF on Sept. 27, 2009 … Played the full 90 minutes in all but one of his league appearances.

2008: Selected in the third round (No. 31 overall) by the Columbus Crew in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft … Played in seven MLS Reserve Division matches for the Crew Reserves … Was claimed off waivers by D.C. United on Sept. 15, 2008 … Made three appearances in 2008-09 CONCACAF Champions League play for United … Entered as am 83rd-minute substitute against Mexico’s Cruz Azul on Oct. 1, 2008, and started in a 2-2 road draw against Saprissa (Oct. 9, 2008) and a 2-0 road loss to Cruz Azul (Oct. 21, 2008).

INTERNATIONAL: Was one of 24 players called into camp with the U.S. National Team by former head coach Bob Bradley in January 2011 ahead of a friendly against Chile at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.

COLLEGE: Had a standout collegiate career at the University of Notre Dame from 2003-07 … Compiled a career-best six goals and 15 points in 24 games as a senior in 2007, and led the Fighting Irish to a No. 9 national ranking and the BIG EAST tournament finals … Received numerous accolades following his senior campaign, including NSCAA All-America second-team honors, second team Academic All-America honors from ESPN The Magazine and CoSIDA, All-BIG EAST first-team accolades and was named to the All-BIG EAST Championship Team … Named to the Mike Berticelli Memorial All-Tournament Team as a junior in 2006 as well as to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for his play during the tournament, contributing to a pair of shutouts … Helped lead Notre Dame to the third round of the 2006 NCAA tournament, and recorded an assist in a 2-0 win over Western Illinois in the first round … During his freshman season in 2004, started all 19 games and was a key member of the Fighting Irish defense that posted 12 shutouts and allowed just nine goals that season … Missed most of his first collegiate season in 2003 after sustaining a knee injury in the third game of the season … Was a four-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star (2004-07) … In total, played in 91 collegiate matches, recording seven goals and 11 assists at Notre Dame … Finished his collegiate career starting 86 consecutive matches – the second-longest consecutive starting streak in program history.
