After a standout collegiate career at the University of Tulsa, Taylor was selected by the Timbers in the second round (No. 22 overall) of the 2011 MLS SuperDraft on Jan. 13, 2011. He started 82 games for the Golden Hurricane and totaled eight goals and 17 assists in his collegiate career. Taylor was a four-time All-Conference-USA honoree and helped Tulsa to four straight NCAA Tournament appear­ances.

2012: Played 90 minutes for the Timbers Reserves against the Chivas USA Reserves on June 18 ... Started and played 90 minutes in MLS Reserve League play June 2 against the LA Galaxy ...
