Great results this weekend plain and simple, the fans were amazing and our squad is coming together and doing big things. Mike Randolph is definitely raising his game to new levels and solidifying himself as rookie of the year and the rest of the D is finally playing as one. It’s always good to dominate Seattle, and as much as I wanted to backhand some of their players, I’m glad that we kept our heads and played our game.
I must admit I did have my fair share of battle wounds, though. Shots to numb my heel at half time, swollen feet from the worst turf toe I’ve ever experienced, and turf burns that are probably going to take a couple months to heal, but it's all good, the blood spilt this weekend was well worth the result, 2nd place and still running.

So, we arrived at the airport at 4:30 a.m yesterday, yes 4:30 a.m., which meant I had to wake up at 3:15 to shower and have some breakfast and leave in time...so I was a little bit bitter when I found out America West had over-booked our flight! Already the road trip from hell was starting out perfect. So we switched airlines, got comped $5.00 for our troubles and were left to wait until 9:00 to depart. The only bonus out of this mess was that we flew direct to Minnesota instead of connecting through Phoenix.
Anyway, tonight's win was huge, kept us in second place and kept the Thunder under our boots for another win; we might sweep the series this year! Salim played great tonight for his first start and the rest of the squad stepped up when they needed to. I have to say, though, the ref blew it a couple times. The free kick that led to their only goal...well the ref called a handball when in actuality the ball had smacked me straight in the face. I have the USL imprint under my right eye to match the left black eye I still have from Miami. Either way we still rebounded from starting the half out flat and got the win...now on to Rochester.
