Thanks for checking in with the Timbers Beat. It has been a great week in the office gearing up for the season which really starts in a matter of days as camp opens next Monday, March 19. All the excitement of the season is brewing as players start getting into town and we start talking preseason matches.
Since I'm new to the organization I just wanted to take a quick moment to introduce myself. I'm the new media relations coordinator for the Timbers, and I couldn't be more excited to be here. This is my fourth season working in the USL First Division, and I am looking forward to working with the players, management and fans here in Portland. I've spent the last three seasons with one of the Timbers arch rivals, I won't mention their name, but it starts with an "S."
About myself, I am a Seattle native and attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash. My wife and I relocated to Portland in October, and I've enjoyed getting to know the Portland area.
I'm looking forward to the upcoming season, the mix of veterans and young talent should be exciting to watch this summer. I can't wait for kickoff on April 21. See you at PGE Park.
