Griffin nets USL-1 Goal of the Week for Week 4

Defender Leonard Griffin's 35-yard blast against Rochester on May 13 at PGE Park was selected as the USL First Division Goal of the Week for Week 4. With his first professional goal, Griffin helped the Timbers capture a 2-0 win and earn a spot on Week 4's Team of the Week.

Missing only one match this season due to illness, Griffin has played in three matches for 270 minutes. He has recorded one goal on two shots and has three fouls.


Griffin joined the Timbers on March 12 after spending his first three pro seasons with Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire. He played his collegiate career with Timbers teammate Scot Thompson at UCLA.
