New Portland Timbers forward Chris Brown talks fans through his game-winning goal against Puerto Rico last week and sheds light on how the team prepares for two games in three days this week in Video News.
On April 17, Brown helped the Timbers capture a 1-0 win over the Puerto Rico Islanders at PGE Park to open the 2008 USL First Division campaign. Brown's first goal of the season also netted his first USL First Division Team of the Week honor in Week 1.
Brown, a native of Portland, Ore., joins the Timbers this season following nine seasons in Major League Soccer. He attended Jesuit High School before a standout career at the collegiate level at the University of Portland.
The Timbers face the Minnesota Thunder on Thursday and Northwest rival Seattle Sounders on Saturday at PGE Park. Both matches begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the PGE Park box office and through Ticketmaster.
