PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Timbers forward Bryan Jordan was named the club’s “Man of the Month” for the month of August, it was announced today. Jordan was selected by fans through a recent fan poll on the Timbers website, www.portlandtimbers.com.
Jordan, 22, played in all five of the Timbers matches during the month of August while on loan from Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Galaxy and recorded three goals and an assist. He also received three bids to the USL First Division Team of the Week (Weeks 16, 17 and 18) during the month. In total, Jordan has appeared in nine matches for the Timbers while on loan during the 2008 season.
Following his productive month with Portland, Jordan was recalled by the Galaxy on Sept. 3 by the MLS club’s new head coach and general manager Bruce Arena. Jordan recorded a goal and an assist in his first-ever start for the Galaxy over the weekend in the team’s 2-2 draw with Real Salt Lake. Click here to view highlights.
