In two seasons with the Timbers, Lara, 27, has played in 25 matches and registered 881 minutes, four shots and 18 fouls. The Las Cruces, New Mexico native began his professional career in 2004 with the Minnesota Thunder. With a passion for working in the community, Lara has twice been recognized for his philanthropic efforts being named Minnesota's Humanitarian of the Year in 2006 and the Timbers' Community Player of the Year in 2007.
