– United Soccer Leagues announced today that Portland Timbers forward
Mandjou Keita
was selected to the USL First Division Team of the Week for Week 20.
Keita, 29, delivered two goals and one assist to lead the Timbers to a 3-1 win over the Miami FC Blues on Aug. 22, at PGE Park. With the win, Portland extended its USL First Division record unbeaten streak to 23 games and clinched a postseason berth.
It is Keita’s fifth USL First Division Team of the Week selection this season.
The Timbers head east to face the Charleston Battery on Friday at 5 p.m. (Pacific). The top-of-the-table matchup will be broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel as part of the USL First Division Game of the Week series. A live broadcast will also be available online at
