Timbers to play Kitsap in scrimmage on Wednesday

PORTLAND

– The Portland Timbers will play the Kitsap Pumas of the Premier Development League in a playoff-preparation scrimmage Wednesday at PGE Park. Closed to the general public, the scrimmage will be open exclusively to Timbers full-season ticket holders.
Full-season ticket holders must redeem their tickets in advance of the scrimmage. Tickets will be available starting Tuesday at 12 noon through each full-season ticket holder’s online account at www.portlandtimbers.com.
Kickoff against Kitsap is scheduled for 4 p.m.; gates open at 3:30 p.m. Fans should access the stadium at the corner or SW 20th Ave and SW Morrison St.
As the 2009 Commissioner’s Cup champions, the Timbers earned a bye in the first round of the USL First Division playoffs slated for this week. Portland enters the postseason in the semifinals, and will host the second match of two-game, aggregate goal semifinal series on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 4 p.m., presented by Spirit Mountain Casino.
