Farber tabbed Timbers Sept./Oct. Man of the Month

PORTLAND, Ore.
– Midfielder
Brian Farber
was selected as the Portland Timbers Man of the Month for September/October, it was announced today. Farber was chosen by fans through a recent Fan Poll on the Timbers’ website, www.portlandtimbers.com.




Farber, 27, highlighted the Timbers playoff run this season with a two-goal performance in the second leg of the semifinal series against the Vancouver Whitecaps at PGE Park. His brace in the first half of that match helped tie the aggregate-goal series; Vancouver would go on to win the series 5-4 on aggregate.




Over the final six weeks of the season, the Northwest native featured in all seven matches for Portland, recorded his first multiple-goal performance of the season and totaled 521 minutes down the stretch.




Farber appeared in 29 matches (23 starts) during his first campaign with the Timbers. He recorded three goals and ranked among team leaders with four assists. Farber was also a three-time USL First Division Team of the Week selection this past season.
