2009: A look back with goalkeeper Brian Visser

Goalkeeper Brian Visser provides a special Halloween edition of Video News as he reflects back over his rookie season. He explains why Halloween is his favorite season, talks about his favorite moments from 2009 and more.

In his first professional season, Visser, 22, made one league appearance with the Timbers, coming on as a sub in a 4-0 shutout against the Montreal Impact on June 28 at PGE Park. He also saw action in exhibition contests against Mexico's Club America reserves and Germany's Bayern Munich II - both victories - at PGE Park.

Visser enjoyed a standout career at DePaul University, where he was the Big East Goalkeeper of the Year as a junior in 2007. He set several goalkeeping records during his time with the Blue Demons, including games played (75) and career shutouts (28). The Elmhurst, Ill., native led DePaul to the Big East Red Division title and the school's first NCAA tournament appearance in 2007.
