Timbers add three more preseason games to schedule

PORTLAND, Ore.
– The Portland Timbers today announced three additional preseason exhibition matches leading up to the 2010 USSF Division 2 Pro League season.




The Timbers will face the Vancouver Whitecaps in a training game on Friday, March 26, in Tukwila, Wash. The Northwest rivals kick off at 10:30 a.m.




Portland will also play additional training games against two college opponents. The Timbers will play the University of Portland on Saturday, March 27, and then conclude their preseason slate Saturday, April 10 against Seattle University.




The Timbers continue their preseason schedule Thursday when they face Major League Soccer’s Seattle Sounders FC at Qwest Field in Seattle, Wash. The preseason exhibition is a fundraising event; kickoff is set for 6 p.m.




The Timbers begin the 2010 campaign Saturday, April 17 at PGE Park as they play host to the Rochester Rhinos at 7 p.m.

By purchasing a season ticket package or making a $50 per-seat deposit towards 2011 Major League Soccer season tickets, fans earn priority status for purchasing season tickets for the Timbers’ inaugural MLS season.
