The Portland Timbers present an award that recognizes deserving coaches and volunteers for their tireless efforts in assisting youth in their communities. Participation in organized sports plays a vital role in the overall well-being of today’s youth and that it is important to pay tribute to those that give of themselves so this opportunity is available for our kids.
To commemorate their accomplishments and to assist in funding future development of their team or league, the 2010 Coach and Volunteer of the Year honorees will be recognized at a the Timbers' home game July 10 at PGE Park, where they will be presented with a $500 check to be used for their club.
