Boca Juniors unveils roster for Saturday's exhibition

PORTLAND, Ore.
– Boca Juniors announced today their travel roster for the upcoming exhibition match against the Portland Timbers on Saturday at PGE Park at 7 p.m. The world-renowned club from Argentina plays against the Timbers as part of its 2010 U.S. tour.




Boca Juniors’ 21-man roster is highlighted by former Argentina National Team defender
Hugo Ibarra
, current Argentina National Team midfielder
Jesús Mendez
and long-time Argentine league veteran
Matías Giménez
. The roster also features rising stars in defender
Fabián Monzón
, a member of Argentina’s gold medal-winning squad at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and goalkeeper
Javier Garcia
, who became the club’s starting goalkeeper during the recent Clausura season at the age of 23.



One of the most successful clubs in the world, Boca Juniors has won a total of 41 domestic and international championships. The club’s 18 international trophies, including six Copa Libertadores titles and three FIFA Club World Cups, is a world record and one that is shared only with Italy’s AC Milan.
