Steel is the word of the week as enormous steel I-beams arrived and began to be placed around the grounds. Concrete crews continue setting up forms, building shear walls and laying foundation work. With 95% of the demolition complete, many crew teams will now channel their inner Erector set skills and begin to piece together the various steel I-beams to hold the large eastern grandstand. Meanwhile, the old press box is completely gutted with new work beginning in that area as well as underneath the north end with new locker rooms being built.
