Timbers Partner with Papa Murphy's to Host Community Tours During PGE Park Renovation



PORTLAND, Ore. — As part of a new multi-year partnership, the Portland Timbers and Papa Murphy’s will team up to host a series of community tours at PGE Park during its on-going construction, it was announced today. The tours will allow fans a first-hand look at stadium renovations currently taking place ahead of the club’s Major League Soccer debut in 2011.

The PGE Park Community Tours, presented by Papa Murphy’s, kick off Saturday, Nov. 6, at 12 noon. Open to both 2011 Timbers season ticket holders and the general public, the 30-minute tours will include an up-close viewing of the renovation, a presentation from Turner Construction and complimentary lunch from Papa Murphy’s. Season ticket holders will have exclusive access to tours from 12-1 p.m., and non-season ticket holders will be able to attend tours from 1-2 p.m.


All tour participants are required to pre-register for the event; space is limited. Season ticket holders for 2011 can RSVP by contacting the ticket services department at ticketservices@portlandtimbers.com or (503) 553-5550. Also included in the partnership, Papa Murphy’s is the new official pizza of the Timbers and will join the club’s extensive soccer camps program as a promotional partner. The collaboration also includes a presenting partnership for the halftime and pre-game youth soccer games, as well as Papa Murphy’s giveaways associated with the number of goals scored each game. The Murph Mobile (Papa Murphy’s mobile pizza trailer) will also be making appearances at Timbers related events.
