PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers are teaming up with the Portland Police Bureau Sunshine Division for a food and clothing drive through the month of December, benefitting Portland-area families in need during the holidays.

Food and clothing items may be dropped off at the adidas Timbers Team Store at JELD-WEN Field, open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Food items in need include cereals, oatmeal, dry beans, pasta, canned fruits and rice.

“We’re thrilled to be working with the Timbers and are appreciative of their support in helping thousands of families during the holiday season,” said Kyle Camberg, executive director of the Portland Police Bureau Sunshine Division.

The Portland Police Bureau Sunshine Division has been providing emergency food and clothing relief to Portland families and individuals since 1923. In 2011, the organization will serve more than 10,000 families with emergency food, clothing, and holiday food boxes.
