Stand Together was still strong in September, welcoming students back to school and visiting members of the community.

Schoolhouse Supplies Delivery at Jason Lee Elementary School
Timbers goalkeeper Jake Gleeson and defender Ian Hogg welcomed Jason Lee Elementary School students on their first day of school on September 5 during an assembly. Gleeson and Hogg, along with the Portland Timbers front office staff, UPS and Schoolhouse Supplies brought backpacks filled with school supplies for each Jason Lee student.

Kosuke Kimura visits the Japanese Gardens and helps with Friends of the Children
Kosuke Kimura and Timbers COO Mike Golub visited the Japanese Garden, who held a reception to welcome Kimura to the City of Portland on September 24.

Kimura also held a clinic at adidas Village with community ambassador Mick Hoban on September 26. The pair also held a Q&A session and signed autographs.

MercyCorps Coaches Visit Timbers Training Facility
Haitian soccer coaches from MercyCorps visited the Timbers training facility, where they watched the Timbers train, met defender Andrew Jean-Baptiste and participated in a coaching clinic on September 26.

Jersey off Our Backs Auction
During the September 29 D.C. United match, Stand Together auctioned off five game-worn jerseys from Timbers players.  All proceeds benefited the Portland Timbers Community Fund.
