Join Friends of Jimmy Conway at the 2013 Walk to End Alzheimer's

Fans of the NASL Portland Timbers will gladly recall stories of Jimmy Conway’s best on-field moments. His former teammates will be happy to speak about what a fantastic teammate he was. Younger fans of the Portland Timbers only need to look up into the Portland Timbers Ring of Honor to understand that Jimmy Conway is truly a Timbers legend.

That’s why so many were quick to support Jimmy once he was diagnosed with trauma-induced dementia a few years ago. In an effort to help Jimmy and his wife Noeleen; friends, family, teammates, and others from the community have joined together to participate in the 2013 Walk to End Alzheimer’s on September 8th at Portland International Raceway.

This year, the Friends of Jimmy Conway team is over half way to their fundraising goal. To register to walk with the team or simply to donate, visit the team’s fundraising page.

Last year the team came out in full force for a fun day of walking in support of Jimmy, while raising money for Alzheimer’s research. Watch the video recap of last year’s event here:
