As Jimmy Conrad and KICKTV continue their World Cup Group G preview, they remain in Germany for an exclusive behind-the scenes look within Bundesliga legend Bayern Munich. Despite crashing out of the UEFA Champions League today, Bayern Munich still remains as one of the BIG clubs of Europe with 24 national Bundesliga titles, 16 national DFB Cups, and five European Cups to their name.
Conrad visits their pristine training center, talks with Dutch international Arjen Robben, club CEO Karl-Heinz Rumminegge and much more to get a feel for how a top domestic club and league can have an impact on the success of a national team heading into a World Cup. It is also a fantastic look into the very club that will be visiting Portland this August for the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star Game.
Following the episode above, KICKTV fills their fourth and final German episode with stories of Conrad's run-in's with customs agents (lies!), medieval castles, talk of dragons, how to say his name in German, hanging out with fans, outtakes and more. Ultimately, Episode 4 is full of everything that they couldn't fit into Episodes 1-3 with a few extras thrown in.
Next up, Conradinho hits fellow Group G member Portugal before visiting Ghana and the U.S. Be on the lookout for future episodes here as the U.S. visit happened to focus on our very own Providence Park to get a feel for just what an American soccer experience is really like.
