Thorns Jersey auction

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland Thorns FC will be wearing a one-time-only jersey during the team’s July 4 match against the Chicago Red Stars. Thorns FC will wear the popular red, black and white horizontal-striped jersey that will feature Providence Health & Services, Parklane Mattresses and GLOBOFUEL, mirroring the home and away kits. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on and win an auction package that includes these special jerseys.

This one-time Thorns FC jersey auction is now open and bidding will close on Wednesday, July 2, at 2 p.m. (Pacific). All proceeds will benefit the club’s Community Fund (PTCF).

Specific auction packages give fans an opportunity to join select members of the team – including Alex Morgan, Christine Sinclair and Nadine Angerer and head coach Paul Riley – on the field for a meet-and-greet to receive their signed, personalized Thorns FC jersey after the July 4 match against the Chicago Red Stars. All packages include the game-worn Thorns FC jersey and two tickets to July 4 match.

This one-time jersey will not be sold, but the striped training top, sponsored by Tire Factory, will be on sale online and at the Thorns FC store at Providence Park,
