Special Special Olympics Oregon Fall State Games set for this weekend at Providence Park

Special Olympics Oregon, 10.7.14

The Special Special Olympics Oregon Fall State Games, presented by Providence Health & Services, are set to arrive at Providence Park this weekend with games and events happening across November 15-16. Soccer matches are being held on the Providence Park pitch as well as just across the street at Lincoln High School with a special Unified Sport Exhibition Soccer Match with members of the Timbers Army happening at 6pm PT on Saturday evening. Portland Timbers players Taylor Peay and Steven Evans will be honorary captains for the Unified match.


The entire Portland area is invited to attend a celebration of the hundreds of Special Olympics Oregon participants at a Games Ceremony which will be held at Providence Park on the evening of November 15. Portland favorite Timber Joey will be the master of ceremonies for the opening event.
