Vote for Adam Kwarasey for MLS Save of the Week: Week 7

Adam Kwarasey, Timbers @ Caps, 3.28.15

In a sparking effort Sunday that included five saves and a shutout, Portland Timbers goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey helped his team to a 1-0 win on the road against New York City FC. While the Ghanaian international parried many shots in the match, one stood out both in its skill as well as timeliness: His 89th minute stop of a Khiry Shelton drive.

It comes as no surprise that is that save that is up for the Week 7 MLS Save of the Week.

Other nominations include two goalkeepers who had to deal with tricky deflections: the Colorado Rapids' Clint Irwin adjusted to his left to stop a Marco Pappa shot, while New York City FC's Josh Saunders saw Zach Pfeffer's shot through severe penalty-area traffic and got his left hand up to palm it away.

Staying on the East Coast, the San Jose Earthquakes' David Bingham did well to rip a Dax McCarty header over the crossbar at Red Bull Arena, while the Houston Dynamo's Tyler Deric had to use every inch of his reach to deny D.C. United's Michael Farfan from outside the penalty area en route to a 1-1 road tie.

Vote now for Adam Kwarasey! The winner will be announced on Friday.
