The #StatMan Three | Portland Timbers 2, Montreal Impact 1 | May 9, 2015

The Portland Timbers took all three points against the Montreal Impact with a 2-1 win Saturday, marking their fourth victory in just six matches all-time at Saputo Stadium. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from the match.

After battling back from an ACL injury suffered at the end of last season, Valeri made his second season appearance and first start of the year against Montreal. Valeri's goal was the 22nd of his Timbers career, which places him ninth on the career goalscoring chart for the club across all eras.

14Nat Borchers scored his second goal of the 2015 campaign with a header in the 64th minute. With 14 career goals, Borchers has the fifth-most career goals among active MLS center backs.

8 The Timbers attack took on a new pace after the halftime whistle. Portland fired eight shots on target in the second half after one shot on frame in the first half. Heading into the match, Portland's highest output for shots on goal in a match this season was six.
