PORTLAND, Ore. – T2 will travel to face fellow USL expansion side Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Wednesday at Sand Creek Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo.; kickoff is set for 6 p.m. (Pacific). The meeting was originally scheduled for May 9, but severe weather forced the match to be rescheduled to Wednesday.

Wednesday’s road match will be carried on a live, high-definition web stream on www.timbers2.com.

T2 (4-5-2, 14pts) are eighth overall in the Western Conference and have played seven of their 11 USL matches on the road so far this season. In their last match, T2 conceded twice in the second half of a 2-0 loss against OKC Energy FC on June 5 at Taft Stadium in Oklahoma City. T2 defender Matt Rose received a red card in the 28th minute and Portland was forced to play a man down for the final 62 minutes. The loss marked Portland’s first USL road defeat since April 18 at Sacramento. Forward Kharlton Belmar has scored six goals through 11 matches and ranks tied for third in goals among all USL players. The Virginia Beach, Va., native also ranks sixth overall in points (13). Goalkeeper Jake Gleeson ranks fourth overall in saves with 37 through nine games played.

Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC (5-5-0, 15pts) enter Wednesday’s match riding back-to-back wins after defeating Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 3-0 on June 6 at Sand Creek Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo. The win marked Colorado’s third straight win at home and third shutout of the season. Switchbacks FC rank tied for second in USL in most goals per game (2) with 20 goals in 10 games. Midfielder Luke Vercollone is tied for third overall in goals (6) and ranks third overall in points (16). He also is tied for fourth in assists (4) through 10 games played. Goalkeeper Devala Gorrick ranks tied for fourth in the league in shutouts (3) and has registered 24 saves and a 1.14 goals-against average in seven starts.

Following Wednesday’s match, T2 return home to face the Austin Aztex at Merlo Field in Portland, Ore., on Sunday, June 14; kickoff is set for 6 p.m. (Pacific).
