Portland Timbers goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey wins Save of the Week with leaping stop on long-range laser

For the second time in 2015, Portland Timbers goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey has taken home Save of the Week honors.


The Timbers goalkeeper helped preserve his league-leading 11th shutout with a beautiful leaping save on a Luke Mulholland laser from outside the box.


The astounding save took home 36.24 percent of the vote, just beating out Sean Johnson of the Chicago Fire, whose double save in an outstanding performance against the Philadelphia Union came in at 28.12 percent.


In the same game as Kwarasey, Real Salt Lake's Nick Rimando made an outstanding save of his own that came in third in the voting.


The Houston Dynamo's Tyler Deric and D.C. United goalkeeper Bill Hamid finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
