Ahead of thie Sunday's big Portland Timbers match against the Seattle Sounders (2pm PT, ESPN2) an Heineken MLS Rivalry Week, noted soccer and sneaker culture aficianados Kicks to the Pitch, in collaboration with BAIT and adidas, will host a special event at the new BAIT Portland store (818 SW Broadway) this Friday, August 28 from 7-10pm PT.
The event will celebrate the release of the new, special edition Portland Timbers sneaker from adidas, the Crazy 8 and also features a photo gallery of the Portland area by photographer Ben Chi, meet and greet opportunities with Timber Joey and Timbers players including Rodney Wallace, food, drinks, and music by DJ Gigahurtz.
There will also be an auction of a very special Timbers-themed Sasquatch-esque sneaker sculpture by Stephen Signa-Aviles. Following the event, the sculpture will be auctioned off to benefit the Portland Timbers Community Fund.
