Quick Strikes | NYC FC to make their first-ever visit to Providence Park Sunday

Diego Valeri #2, Timbers vs. TFC, 5.1.16

The Portland Timbers return home after a two-game road trip to take on New York City FC at Providence Park on Sunday (4:30pm PT, FS1). Here are five numbers to know for #PORvNYC in the latest Quick Strikes.

102 Since the club's founding in 1975, the Portland Timbers have welcomed numerous opponents to the Rose City. NYC FC will be the 102nd different opponent to face the Timbers at Providence Park in a competitive (league, playoffs, U.S. Open Cup, CONCACAF Champions League) match.

85In addition to be among the league leaders in dribble success rate, midfielder Darlington Nagbe is one of the best in MLS at completing passes in the final third. Nagbe's 85 percent completion rate (on 154 passes) in the attacking third is the highest for players with more than 110 passes in the area (60 players).

37Having already surpassed his goal total from last season, midfielder Diego Valeri also continues to excel at setting up his teammates. Valeri's 37 created chances is the most of any player in MLS this season.

990 Midfielder Diego Chara is the current ironman for the Timbers, having played every single minute of 2016 season for Portland. Chara has also played the most minutes all-time in MLS play for Portland with 13,825 minutes played in his career, 230 minutes more than Darlington Nagbe.

21 In his last four starts, goalkeeper Jake Gleeson leads MLS with 21 saves over that span. The 21 saves since April 27 are six more than any other MLS goalkeeper in that time period.
