Before joining Thorns FC, Amandine Henry has some unfinished business to tend to. On Thursday, Henry and her current club, France’s Lyon, will play for the 2015-16 UEFA Women’s Champions League crown.

Lyon and German side VfL Wolfsburg square off at Italy’s Stadio Città del Tricolore; kickoff is 9 a.m. (Pacific). A live stream of the match is available on YouTube.

Three storylines to follow in the final between these two juggernauts.

  • Henry has her sights on winning a third UEFA Women’s Champions League title with Lyon on Thursday. In fact, both Lyon and Wolfsburg are striving to become the first three-time winner of the UEFA Women’s Champions League era since 2009-10; both clubs are the only current multiple winners of the tournament.
  • Lyon and Wolfsburg met in the 2012-13 UEFA Women’s Champions League final, with the German side taking a 1-0 victory. The lone goal came on a 73rd-minute penalty kick. The win by Wolfsburg ended Lyon’s run at a possible third straight Women’s Champions League title. Lyon had won the competition in back-to-back seasons 2010-11 and 2011-12.
  • Lyon is making its fifth finals appearance in club history, which is one shy of the record held by German club Frankfurt with six. Henry is one of eight current players on the Lyon roster who has played in each of the club’s previous four trips to the competition’s final.
