#StatMan Three | Alvas Powell's defensive work helped Timbers earn draw against Rapids

The Portland Timbers shut out the first-place Colorado Rapids Monday night at Dick's Sporting Goods Park with the match finishing in a 0-0 draw. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from the match.

6 Defender Alvas Powell helped lead the Timbers to their second clean sheet of the season. Powell's six tackles during the match were three more than any other player on the field.

6 With the draw, the Timbers are now undefeated in their last six league matches. The unbeaten run is the longest in the regular season by the club since a six-game streak from April 27 to May 28, 2014.

2 For the second time ever in a league match, midfielder Diego Chara wore the captain's armband for the Timbers. Chara, who has played in 163 regular season matches, was also the captain for Portland's 2-1 victory over the Chicago Fire on May 20, 2012.
