Quick Strikes | Win and in for Timbers against Whitecaps

Quick Strikes, Whitecaps vs. Timbers, 10.20.16

In the final match of the 2016 MLS regular season, the Portland Timbers head to Canada to take on Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Sunday (1pm PT, ROOT SPORTS). Here are five numbers to know for #VANvPOR in the latest Quick Strikes.

4 Under Caleb Porter, the Timbers have won all their road regular-season finales, averaging four goals per game. If Portland is able to continue the trend, the team will clinch a spot in the 2016 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs.

+3A win, draw, or loss by one or two goals will make the Timbers the winners of the Cascadia Cup for 2016. If Portland maintains their current goal differential of +3 in Cascadia Cup matches this season, it would be the best GD ever by the Timbers in a single season's Cascadia Cup (all eras).

16 Forward Forward Fanendo Adi is currently tied with Sporting Kansas City's Dom Dwyer for most goals in the Western Conference with 16. In 2015, Adi finished tied for second for most goals in the Western Conference behind the LA Galaxy's Robbie Keane.

3Portland is looking to build on previous success at BC Place. The Timbers are 3-2-2 at Vancouver in MLS play, equaling the team's record at Real Salt Lake's Rio Tinto Stadium, and good for the team's best away record at an opposing venue.

7Despite having played in just 10 regular season matches for the Timbers, Vytas has had a meaningful impact on the field. Since his debut on July 31, his seven successful crosses are tied for most on the club in that same span.
