Thorns FC midfielder Amandine Henry and France beat the U.S. Women's National Team 3-0 Tuesday evening to clinch the 2017 SheBelieves Cup. France went 2-0-1 in the round-robin tournament to finish atop the standings.

Henry, who started all three matches for France while Thorns FC teammates Allie Long and Tobin Heath started for the USWNT and Lindsey Horan came off the bench in the loss.

In the Algarve Cup in Portugal, Hayley Raso was on the bench as Australia lost a close third-place match on penalties against Denmark Wednesday. Though tied at 1-1 after regulation, the Danes prevailed 4-1 in the penalty-kick shootout. The fourth place finish is the highest result the Matildas have achieved at the venerable tournament.

In the tournament championship, Christine Sinclair and Canada lost 1-0 to Spain to close out the Algarve Cup. Sinclair came on in the 41st minute and contributed to a number of chances in the second half but the Canadians could not find a goal.
