Quick Strikes | Timbers look to continue impressive play away from home

Darlington Nagbe #2, Timbers vs. Houston, 3.18.17

In a clash of the two top teams in the Western Conference, the Portland Timbers head to the Lone Star State to take on FC Dallas Saturday at Toyota Stadium (5pm PT, ROOT SPORTS). Here are five numbers to know for #FCDvPOR in the latest edition of Quick Strikes.

16 Heading into the last weekend of April, the Timbers are currently leading MLS with 16 points. Portland, who has been at the top of the standings since a 2017 opening-night victory over Minnesota United FC, is off to their best start in the club's MLS history and best start in all eras since 2004.

3 Almost two months into the season, Portland is one of just three teams in MLS that has scored in every road game they have played this season, along with Seattle and the LA Galaxy. The Timbers are also one of two teams to have multiple road wins in 2017 (Atlanta United FC).

5Midfielder Darlington Nagbe has scored five regular-season goals against FC Dallas, which is the most the U.S. International has scored against a single opponent.

12 In addition to his five goals scored in 2017, forward Fanendo Adi is currently second in MLS for shots on target with 12. In his last road match, Adi broke the Timbers all-era scoring record with his 46th goal for the club.

18 The Timbers have found the back of the net a league-high 18 times in 2017. By contrast, despite being undefeated, FC Dallas has scored eight goals in its six matches.
