PORTLAND, Ore. – In their consecutive win at Providence Park, Timbers2 defeated Tacoma Defiance in a 4-1 matchup on Friday night. Scoring three goals in the first 16 minutes, Blake Pope tallied a brace while Josh Penn followed shortly after to score a third in the first half. Noah Santos registered Portland’s fourth goal of the match a minute into the second half before the team conceded a lone goal in the 72nd minute. The victory was Portland’s third of the season when playing at Providence Park.

De Rosario shot on the rebound before T2 defender Kaveh Rad attempted to clear the ball, but ultimately let the ball slip past the goal line.
