Ned Grabavoy | Timbers Technical Director

A former professional player, Ned Grabavoy enters his third season as the technical director with the club and recently signed a multi-year contract extension with the Timbers on Aug. 11, 2021. Grabavoy first joined the Timbers’ technical staff at the end of the 2016 season as the director of scouting and recruitment.

Grabavoy manages and oversees all aspect of scouting, recruitment, and potential player acquisitions for the club, working closely with the general manager on roster management, construction, and player contract execution.

Prior to joining the Timbers’ front office, Grabavoy played for Portland in 2016, logging 11 appearances in the midfield. The 38-year-old began his professional career in 2004 with the LA Galaxy. Grabavoy spent the majority of his MLS career with Real Salt Lake, where he played 6 seasons. In his 13-year career, Grabavoy won 2 MLS Cups and a U.S. Open cup appearing in 316 MLS matches.
