Portland Thorns FC's Tobin Heath activated from disabled list

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC have activated midfielder Tobin Heath from the 45-day disabled list and have added her to the active roster, the club announced today.

Heath, 29, earned 2016 NWSL Best XI honors and was named the 2016 U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year. In her fourth season with the club in 2016, Heath tallied a league-best 10 assists and added one goal, appearing in 14 games (13 starts). The Basking Ridge, N.J., native has appeared in 38 career games (37 starts) for Portland, registering two goals and 14 assists.

Thorns FC play host to the Washington Spirit on Saturday, Sept. 2, at Providence Park at 12:30 p.m. (Pacific) as the featured NWSL Game of the Week on Lifetime.
