Postgame Quote Sheet
T2 head coach Cameron Knowles
On the physical nature of the game during stoppage time...
“There were a lot of things going on towards the end of the game. We were just hoping that we could create one more chance and get one more opportunity to have a chance on goal and have the composure to put it away. We didn’t expect it to come in such dramatic fashion, but credit to Todd [Wharton] for having the composure to put it away with the last kick of the game.”
On the offensive changes needed for the next game...
“Offensively I think we’re okay. We’ve conceded a lot of goals where we’re getting punished for silly mistakes and I think we need to tidy that up a little bit. If we can tighten things up defensively heading into the second half of the season, then that will keep us in really good stead.”
On capitalizing on set pieces…
“I think when you have that many opportunities, you need to create more chances on set pieces. We had the opportunity to work on some of that this week and I think we can improve our services and timing of our runs and be far more dangerous in those moments.”
