Timbers Matchday Media Operations
All credentialed media personnel must enter and exit the stadium through Gate G.
- Gate G will open 75 minutes prior to kickoff. All media need to be inside the building no later than 30 minutes prior to kickoff.
- Media must depart from the stadium within 60 minutes of the final whistle.
Re-entering the stadium is prohibited.
MEDIA PERSONNEL CREDENTIALING & BIBS
Media must apply for Phase 1 single game credentials, as 2020 season credentials alone will not grant entry.
Please contact Katie Simons (email@example.com) for accreditation. All requests for credentials must be submitted no later than 10 a.m. (Pacific) two days prior to the match. Day before or day of match requests will not be granted.
Photographers and ENGs must obtain a bib from Gate G and return them to the same place.
HEALTH & SAFETY RULES
All media personnel will be required to undergo a temperature check and complete a Standardized Screening Questionnaire on each matchday prior to being granted entry to the stadium.
By receiving a media credential, media personnel agree to observe all MLS and Club rules, any applicable government guidance, and other precautionary steps that are in place to preserve health and safety, including physical distancing, PPE, and hygiene guidelines in all media areas, including, but not limited to, the press seating areas, photographer/ENG positions, photo workroom, and post-match press conference areas. Failure to comply with any health and safety initiatives will result in a loss of access to the stadium. Such health and safety protocols must include, at a minimum, the following:
- Media personnel should bring their own face mask to the stadium, but masks will be provided to media personnel upon request.
- Media personnel must practice physical distancing from one another and others whenever possible when inside the stadium.
- Media personnel are not permitted on the field or in close proximity to players or coaches.
- Media personnel are required to wash or disinfect their hands frequently and may be required to wear gloves in certain instances.
PRESS BOX & PHOTO WORKROOM
Media will have assigned seats in the press box and must stay in their seats while the game is play, wearing a mask at all times.
Additional media seating will be marked in sections 219 and 220.
Food will not be served to the media, but water and snacks will be available.
The photo work area on the concourse level between section 106 and 107.
Photographers must always adhere to the same physical distancing guidelines in the photo work area.
To ensure paperless media areas, media can access the MLS Media Resource site and MatchCenter for all gameday resources. All media resources will also be shared in the team Slack channel.
PHOTOGRAPHER & ENG/TV NEWS CREW POSITIONS
Photographers must remain in their positions during run of play.
At no point should photographers or ENG crews enter the playing field, locker rooms, or other Restricted Areas proximate to players, coaches or Club delegation members.
Approved photographers and ENG/TV news crews will be permitted to shoot a match from assigned positions.
ENG/TV News Crews: Section 119 with assigned seats and rows.
Photographers: Section 121, 122, 110, 111
Photographers must remain in their positions during run of play. Photographers may switch ends at halftime with an escort.
MEDIA INTERVIEWS, LOCKER ROOMS, POST-GAME PRESS CONFERENCES
All media, including credentialed media to each match, will conduct all interviews via a fully remote Zoom video conference. Match day -2 press conferences with Giovanni Savarese and 1-2 players will continue to take place.
For postgame press conferences, select players and coaches from both the home and visiting Clubs will be made available to all general media via a video teleconference platform to begin approximately 15 minutes from the final whistle of each match.
STAND UPS AND LIVE HITS
These are permitted at designation locations inside and outside the stadium. There will be no access to the field of play, field level, or player tunnel areas. Crews will be required to follow health and safety guidelines, including physical distancing and PPE.
