A 2017 Golden Boot candidate? MLSsoccer.com thinks Timbers striker Fanendo Adi could compete

Since arriving in the Rose City midway through the 2014 season, Portland Timbers forward Fanendo Adi has made his mark on the score sheet. With back-to-back 16 goal campaigns in 2015 and 2016, Adi has scored a total of 41 goals in his 90 matches played with the club. 

On the eve of the 2017 MLS regular-season, MLSsoccer.com's Andrew Wiebe believes that track record makes him an excellent possibility for the year's Golden Boot race:

"Fanendo Adi has it all: soft feet, a massive frame, a knack for finding open space in and around the box and a Portland Timbers team full of chance creators to feed him."
