By The Numbers | Bill Tuiloma now tied for MLS lead in headed goals


The Portland Timbers dropped a 2-1 loss to Inter Miami CF on the road in South Florida Saturday night. Here are three numbers to take away from the match.


Defender Bill Tuiloma scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season when he sent a diving header into the back of the Miami net in the 78th minute. Four of his five goals in 2022 have come via headers which is tied for the most headed goals in MLS. International break.


On Tuiloma’s goal, Cristhian Paredes and Santiago Moreno combined to each earn their third assist of 2022. Their three assists apiece are tied for second on the team.


Midfielder Yimmi Chara led all players in the game with 22 completed passes in the final third. He also led all Timbers players with a 91.7% passing accuracy in the final third.
