The Dash went up early through a Rachel Daly penalty-kick goal and doubled their lead through Kristie Mewis, but a first-half response from Christine Sinclair and a second-half equalizer from Sophia Smith had Portland on the verge of a result. However, with a late goal from Daly, Houston was able to claim full points, earning a huge boost to their playoff hopes.
