Kosuke Kimura had a whirlwind week. Acquired on Thursday, he went straight from the airport to his first Timbers training session. Two days later, he as in the starting XI against Real Salt Lake in Sandy, UT.

Quick to track opponents, fast on the counter, and skilled at dispossessing the ball from attacking players, Kimura was a welcome addition to the Portland squad.
